It is a co-educational day school, serving the villages of Kirk Langley and Mackworth and the surrounding areas. The school's accommodation facilities include a large hall, a new millennium library and an ICT area. The children take part in a variety of school activities such as sports day, inter school sports matches, drama productions, church festivals, fetes, garden parties and educational visits.
