Background:

Tupton Hall School is a large comprehensive school catering for pupils aged 11 to 18. The school committed to being an active contributor to the local community within the Derbyshire Local Education authority. It stands in 57-acres of attractive parkland. The school moved to its present site in 1936, after existing under various names in Clay Cross since 1893. There are opportunities for students to take part in a variety of recreational activities and clubs. A wide variety of school journeys both at home and abroad, organised in the holidays, including exchange visits. The school provides wide range of inter-house sporting competitions including: football, badminton, netball, hockey, swimming, basketball, tennis and athletics.
