Background:
Founded in 1875, William Levick Primary School is now housed in modern buildings which were completed in 1994. The school is situated in a suburban town to the south of the city of Sheffield. The parent-teacher and friends' association is active, and through a programme of social and fund-raising charities has raised more than £6,000 a year for the last three years. An information and communication technology (ICT) suite has recently been established. On several evening per week, children are able to take part in after-school activities including badminton, basketball, music tuition and summer sports.
