Background:
Morley Primary is housed in a Victorian building and was originally a boarding school. Pupils are drawn from the village and surrounding areas and are divided into three classes. After-school clubs include walking, art, drama and a variety of team sports. Tuition in brass and woodwind instruments, violin and the recorder is also available. The school has won the Health Promoting Schools Award, DfES achievement award 2002 and Basic Skills Charter Mark. The school aims to develop a sense of self-respect, become independent and confident in their own abilities and to cooperate and share.
