Chinley Primary is housed in a Victorian school building, constructed in 1884. It has been modernised and extended, and the most recent addition was a purpose-built nursery in 1999. Outdoor facilities include a playing field and playground. After-school clubs include football, netball, rugby, rounders, maypole dancing, computers, drama, and cookery and tuition in violin, guitar, recorder, keyboards and woodwind. Educational excursions and residential visits are arranged. The school aims to provide an environment in which all its children can achieve their true potential.
