Background:
Litton is a church aided primary school catering for children aged four to 11. The school was established in 1864. The school has two spacious classrooms, a hall, a library, an office, two playgrounds, a physical education shed and a large grassed playing field. The playground has recently had markings installed. There is a large field, which has been developed as a conservation area since 1990 and includes a pond and a bird hide. The school provides a varied range of curriculum enrichment activities, which vary every year. These include an arts week, outdoor and adventurous activity days, educational visits and after-school clubs including football, netball, sewing and music. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
