Background:
School has served the parish of Our Lady and St Thomas of Hereford for nearly a century; in 1974, the current open-plan building was opened; a phased building programme has created two new classrooms and remodelled internal space to enhance accommodation. The school has two playgrounds, grassed areas and playing field, all surrounded by security fences. Takes part in in local sporting competitions with significant success; children participate in running, football, netball, kwik-cricket, rugby, basketball and tennis. Active parent-teacher association; school values relationships with parents, feeder pre-school groups and the local parish. Each term, the children and school community raise money for a nominated charity or respond to an appeal. The school is oversubscribed. Ethos: 'Aims to provide an environment in which children may develop towards their full potential, discovering within the Church a lively relationship with God'.
